Fishing in Gabon is quite the adventure and one of the best things you can do while staying in Gabon. It’s also a popular hobby among many expats and with good reason! Not only does Gabon have some big fish, and when we say big, we mean ‘really big’, the fishing spots are not crowded and when fishing from the beach, one finds himself in idyllic places, surrounded by palm trees and often the only soul in the area.

Gabon has miles and miles of untouched coastline bordered by rainforest and wildlife such as hippos, elephants, buffels and leopards roaming the beaches. It is unique and never seen on this scale anywhere else in the world. Not only can you find visiting mammals in the sand, it’s also not uncommon to see dolphins passing by and during the right time of year you can also see humpback whales!

Gabon’s unique lagoon system, draining into the Atlantic Ocean, provides us with a unique range  of large fish, all ready to get into a fierce battle. We’re talking about barracuda, huge tarpons, cubera snappers, whitefins, jack crevalle, cubbera snapper, marlins, sailfish, thuna and much more.

For your two day adventure, we will start from Libreville and will be fishing two full days with a campsite included on the way. At night we will relax on the beach, light a campfire and enjoy a nice drink together. This trip sure will be the exotic adventure of a lifetime with plenty of tales to tell to your friends and family afterwards!
